to make a long story short....i had this 10 gallon tank for quite sometime..(and it wasn't OVERSTOCKED), till a friend of mine could't afford to keep his fish anymore...so as a good friend i took what he had, even though i knew it was too much....i knew they would die sooner or later because of his situation, so i took them into my care.....5 months down the line they're are all still alive and happy...i change water every other day... (p.s. i cant afford a bigger tank at the moment).....

I had a tank that I barely remember when I was a kid now I'm back at it, for the last 6 months. I love to see the personalities of each fish and watch them in their world. It makes my world much less stressful.

You don't have to do all the work, get a couple of algae eating shrimp, plecos, snails just something that will help. It makes a big difference on how your tank looks like at the end of the day.

Advice:
Start with smaller easier fish such as tetras and/or goldfish in a small 10 gallon after a while if you take care of those upgrade to a bigger tank with slightly bigger.
if you plan on a planted tank dont get the colored gravel best advice is the flora-active gravel its light and great with aeroation, and feeding the plant roots.
