Description:Custom built around staircase saltwater reef tank. Difficult dimensions due to its half circle shape. About 250 gallons. Many fish kept over the years from angel fish to nurse sharks and octopuses. Just started filling it up again.
Fish Kept:Naso tang, Harlequin Tuskfish, mated pair of saddle back clowns, engineer goby, coral beauty, two yellow tail Damsels, and a hawk fish.
Corals/Plants:No corals or plants. But the 150 lbs of live rock was made by myself and kids minus 3 pieces great project to do, kids loved it. They made the molds and I poured the concrete. Saved lot of money, although the process does take a long time to cure it is well worth it! Have about 9 more pieces curing now.
Advice:Go slow go slow go slow!!! This is my 4th tank this time I let it cycle for about 1 month with no fish at all. Makes all the difference in the world so little work to do if you cycle it well first!!
Advice:Do it right the first time and save time, money and a lot of heartache....Also note that this doesnt always mean you need to spend the most money. Do good research and youll find there are so many different ways to achieve great results.
