About Yourself:
Inherited a 55 gallon from my deceased boss. I hated fish tanks until then. 5 tanks later and now I can't get off the internet trying to learn. Addictive little boogers.

Geophagus, 3 types of Severums, Kribensis, Angelfish, Blood Parrott, Buenos Aries Tetra, Peppered Cory
Corals/Plants:
All plastic; except one micro sword that is down to a nubbin thanks to the cichlid family.

65 gallons
Advice:
No real advice except that your own expierence is the best knowledge. Listen, research, but when it comes down to it, learn from your own mistakes.

I'm fortunate enough to get advice from a few hobbyists at my workplace before I had this fish fever! I suggest for new hobbyist to do the same or do some research before hand. Either than that, have fun! You'll love it!!

Research research Research.
make sure your filter system is big enough for your tank. Led lighting rely brings out colour of your fish. Water changes should be done weekly. Biofilters are key. And try natural treatments first. Keep in mind of scaleless fish and treatments. Have fun with it

Currently I have two keyhole cichlids, two bolivian rams, two swordtails (red), 5 spotted corys, a BN pleco, an angel fish, a bamboo shrimp, three ghost shrimp, and a paradise fish.

Two java ferns, a marimo moss ball, two amazon swords, anubias, two bronze wendths, and various other swords.

Advice:
To have a successful aquarium you have to be very patient. Make sure you read up on the nitrogen cycle and let your tank cycle! While your tank is cycling (will be about a month) read up on the fish you plan on getting and the specific plans you have for your fish tank. Make sure you are not overstocking, your fish get along, feeding the right amount, etc.
