Rated #911: 46 Gallons Planted Tank - i actualy didnt even plan on rearanging my aquarium untill i came across this rock.it is a forty six-gallon bowfront. the substrate is crushed coral, live plants from a local river, the rock actualy came from the same river, i saw it when i was snorkeling and had to go back and get it! i currently only have five, inch long african cichlids. one daffodill, two yellow labs, and two kenyii. the filtration consists of two hang on penguin bio wheel 300's. lighting is provided by only one flourescent 10,000 k bulb, when i can afford it im gonna get a twin bulb compact fixture. the heater keeps the tank a constant 78 degrees f. and the koralia current creator helps keep the water moving constantly, it flows around the front of the rock, keep in mind this tank was created on a budget

About Yourself: Love anything to do with fish..! From fishkeeping to fish catching..! I love fishing and I have caught many species of fish form the UK and France over the years from minnows to mirror carp over 30lbs. This tank started of as a coldwater tank with coarse fish, then became tropical marine, and then coldwater ornamental. and was always located at the end of my bed. (I was 16 yrs old) After leaving home and getting my own house the tank became a coldwater ornamental tanks again. I have changed the tanks style many times over the years and 23 yrs later it is now a tropical tank.

About Yourself: Very into fish keeping and growing aquatic plants
Fish Kept: Betta - Female, Bristle-nose Catfish, Guppy, Ember Tetra, Neon Tetra, Rabbit Snail, Nerite Snail, Amano Shrimp
Corals/Plants: Madagascar Lace, Tiger Lotus, Bacopa, Dwarf Sag, Frog Bit,
Tank Size: 29 gallons
Advice: Start with cycled media and filter already. Saves so much headache with fish stress and algae. Join a local aquarium club, if one's available. Get plants from that group, if possible. Floating plants are usually very easy. Plants reduce the required water change frequency/amount, and stabilize your tank. Definitely a good idea and good for babies too, if you're into breeding.
