About Yourself:
I started with a breeding pair of guppies and their offspring usually paid for their food. Since college opened my eyes, I have moved on from my tropical tretra/guppy tank to raising and breeding cichlids. My favorite cichlids being my goby cichlids Crystal and Red XII. They are so friendly and great me when I come home.

Don't sweat the petty things. Pet the sweaty things.
Fish Kept:
Various tetras: Redeyes, Glowlights, Neons, Head & Tail Lights, & Serpaes. Livebearers: Swordtails & Guppies. I've also got a good cleaning crew: Otos, an SAE, & Emerald green cories.
Corals/Plants:
Along the back: Amazon Swords, Red & Bronze Wendtii, & Melon Sword.
Mid-Foreground: Anubias Nana, Dwarf Hairgrass & Microsword, & Four Leaf Clover. I've also added some floating plants that I have to thin out once a month. They're a good hide out for the fry my livebearers constantly pop out!
I've used 3 pieces of driftwood. Plus, I made a cave (on the right) out of black slate.
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
If you plan on using rockwork in your tank, save your money & find a local stone supply company. Since you're not gonna be taking that much, they'll usually just give the stuff to you.

Advice:
if your growing plants get lots of fast growing plants in and get some shrimp and algae eating fish such as otocinclus i only kept my lights on for 8 hours till tank was established this should help to keep algae at bay co2 injection also gets rid of some types of algae . dont be put off at the first set back I have had a few of them and will probably have some more in the future. go online check out the forums , join a club read books all this will help you through some of the setbacks and hopefully stop you making them in the first place PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
