if you are looking for a natural habitat for fish do all live plants. no plastic rocks or people and stuff.

If begining a new tank, carefully pick each of your elements Fish (for compatabilty), Plants (both for layout and for light, water requirements) and Size (to accomadate both of the other elements)

Water chemistry pH 7.0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 15, temperature 75 degrees
MaintenanceI do a water change once every 2 weeks of about 25%, at that time I will vac the gravel, I rinse the filter media off in the removed water

I am an upcoming freshman and love to play clarinet for my fish and teach them to respond to sign language. I got into the fish trade at three. Now, at thirteen, I am in charge of over five fish tanks and a guppy breeding program. It's a lot of work, but it's fun.

Nothing is hard once you get used to it. Your tank is a hobby....not a job.....enjoy it, love it, and it will give you happiness in return
Description:
I have to leave one side of the tank heavily planted as my guppies keep having babies. The babies hide in the thick plants for about 2 weeks before they venture off into the rest of the tank.
