About Yourself: started with gold fish bowl at 10 years old ended up with a 135 gallon 3 years ago never got bored of the hobby. my s/c american cichlid tank has been my best tank by far
Fish Kept: S/C AMERICAN cichlids 3 severums 2 blood parrot 5 geophagus 1 blue arcara 5 firemouths 1 redtail black shark 3bushy nose plecos 2 synodontis catfish tough enough to hang with cichlids
Corals/Plants: african drift wood mix with lake drift wood craggy sea rock from topfin at petsmart also 1 texas holey rock.golden pothos. 2 fake plants. quickrete sand works great!

Advice: take your time do some research and get the biggest tank you can afford the first time but don't go over board you will gain experience as time goes by have fun.IF U keep cichlids that tear up live plants try golden pothos will help reduce nitrates

Advice: Let your water cycle first for a few days before adding fish. Have back up heaters & filter equipment & chemicals for a start up tank cycle, have stuff for ick & disease for the fish. Using the salts for the tank also promote health Gil function & treat disease in the tank. Be patient with the tank it'll take some time to get acclimated & healthy bacteria.

About Yourself: I have had two fish tanks in the past one freshwater artificial decor and the other was an all natural plant and decor setup. Starting up something i enjoy once again.
Fish Kept: 4 green barbs, 5 tiger barbs
Corals/Plants: artificial decor.
Tank Size: 50 gallons
Advice: Dont get fish right away put water in, gravel or sand, decor, filter, heater, then let water sit for 48 hours before you get your scout fish. Only get one fish that is hardy and then get the rest of your fish 2-3 weeks later.
