started with two male bettas (ragnar and rollo) in two little jars, started reading everything i could find about bettas and became absolutly smitten. now i have six tanks all together with a myriad of fish, frogs and even a brackish tank with crabs! my favorite fish will always be my bettas, the have the most personality of any fish!!

The proper filtration is important use twice as much as recommended.
It is way to easy to overfeed.
Vacum gravel at least once a month. It will count as your 20% water change.
Don't overstock or buy fish that will get too big for your aquarium.

I'm no expert, I just like to dabble. I try to keep my tanks low maintenance and interesting; the purpose of these tanks is to enjoy them, not to constantly work at them.
