You only live life once, just do it to the fullest.
About Yourself:
Love this hobby. Last year is when I got back into this. This time full throttle. In addition to this new cichlid aquarium, last summer I built a 2100gallon koi pond w/ 3 cascading waterfalls + 1 large waterfall w/ a 7 ft. drop in my backyard. Also set up a 500g tank in garage for some plants+for holding new fish to prep+treat them for diseases etc. prior to adding them to pond. If you would like to see some pics of the pond or other please feel free to send me a msg. Or if you have any questions abt ponds.
Fish Kept:
For inside aquarium with pics, used to hold 2 of my favorite platinum KOI's then had to take them out because they decided to mate and have fry's (KOI babies). Now turned into a Cichlid tank. Currently have 9 various Cichlids, 1 exotic pleco.
Corals/Plants:
Several fake ones and 2 live ones. My tank however has mostly different kinds of real rock which helps the PH. Also have a mix of crushed Coral and gravel. Hated dealing with an all natural sand substrate.
Tank Size:
110 gallons
Advice:
If using an additional PowerHead for good circulation make sure on Timer. Don't keep adding (store bought) chemicals to water. Give enough time for whatever filtration system you are running do its job.

Know what you want, and Go For IT!
About Yourself:
My husband is the one that always wanted an aquarium, so I grudgingly agreed that we buy a small one...on the condition that he's in charge of it! After a couple of months I was just crazy about our fish, and we upgraded to this 55 gallon mixed mbuna tank. Now I just love researching, aquascaping and keeping busy with my cichlids!

Johannis, Kenyi, Rusty, Auratus
Kongi, Acei...

"I believe you have my stapeler" Milton Office Space
About Yourself:
A little less than a year ago I decided to buy a 10 gallon tank for my wife because she used to have african dwarf frogs and liked them. So I decided to get her a tank for them and add some fish. One thing led to another and one tank led to another and now I have eight tanks providing me with over 300 gallons of freshwater fun. By the way i want to add that this tank is a combined effort of my wife and I. We do this together and we really enjoy it. I recommend it to any married couple as a means of bringing you closer together. Now if we could just find more room in our house for another tank. Just kidding..... Or am I?
Fish Kept:
The 65 gallon tank holds Labidochromis caeruleus, Labidochromis sp. "mbamba", Melanochromis auratus, Pseudotropheus Kenyi(aka Metriaclima lombardoi), Pseudotropheus "acei", Metriclima astherae, Pseudotropheus saulosi, and Pseudotropheus socolofi albino
Corals/Plants:
none
Tank Size:
65 gallons
Advice:
Never believe the workers in your local pet stores or fish dealers! Use trusted literature and reliable internet sites to research and conclude your own information. Always research your fish and prepare your aquarium well in advance before purchasing fish. Also make sure you always have a plan "B" when mixing tropical fish in case it doesnt work out.
