If you get a canister system, tap in to the out-take with a air hose. It spreads the o2 very well throughout the tank. Good for bacteria!!!!

About Yourself:
Have been keeping tropical and coldwater tanks since my teens. Moved to fake plants several years ago and never looked back. Though I think planted tanks look great I am happy with plastic/silk.
Likewise, Love marine tanks but quite happy with tropical in my own home.
Happy with a 130l setup - nice balance between size, maintenance and cost of upkeep.
Fish Kept:
Current tank contents:
5x Amino Shrimp
3 x Peppered Cory
7 x White Fin Bentos Tetra
1x Drawf Guarami.
Corals/Plants:
All plastic/silk (fake)
Tank Size:
27 gallons
Advice:
Dont rush the tank setup.
Always upgrade the filter.
Invest in decent silk plants if you are going down this root. The more expensive plants look much more realistic.
Description:
Many of you saw the previous incarnation of this tank several weeks back. Well this is take two, which incorporates many of the subtle improvements I was planning to implement. The tank is designed simply to be a colorful centrepiece to my living room. As such it is not replicating any particular habitat. I Just want it to pop!

About Yourself:
I only started keeping Marine fish about 10 years ago after my wife passed away. Wanted something to make my life worth something. I am 71years old at the moment so I didn't want too much bother with making salt water and RO water. Tap water I can manage.
The last job I had was as a Funeral Director for the last 15 years of employment.
My life now is golf, fish and holidays.
Fish Kept:
Nyasa Peacock, Dragon Blood Peacock Cichlid, Electric Yellow Cichlid, Jack Dempsey, Common Pleco
Corals/Plants:
Not to sure of the plant names.
I will find out as I go along.
Tank Size:
100 gallons
Advice:
Keep it simple and clean.
I don't look at it as keeping fish, to me it is keeping water and the fish make it nice to look at.
