Country: Australia
Description: Tank 6ft x 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 ft. Combination of LED & fluro T5HO full spectrum overhead lighting.Back of tank is lit by LED's via a enclosed void behind tank with rear glass tinted so it appears black when unlit & lights up as diffused Blue, giving an illusion of extra depth (width). Filtration provided by an Enhiem canister filter (1200LPH) via corner weir with a 1200LPH internal filter.Another 1200LPH pump sends flow to outlet at bottom of section of rock wall for water circulation. Rock walls hand built using all natural local river stone. To conceal filters, plumbing & provides caves, hiding/refuge etc. Substrate/Gravel also is sourced from our local 'major' river. Tank was set up as a Tropical Community but changed to African Cichlids after house move.Stocked with juveniles of various species. This tank was salvaged from disuse and was about to be scrapped. The stand was very bad and has been almost completely rebuilt. The tank itself was formerly a Marine tank that was emptied, dismantled badly and left. Although very dirty it was still structurally intact (apart from some scratches on front glass)
Advice: Ask questions
Fish Kept: A colony of mixed African Cichlids, including Red Empress, Lombardio, Red Forest Jewels, Electric Yellows, Blue Dolphins, Sp 45.Convicts. (All juveniles)
Corals/Plants: Mixed
Tank Size: 150 gallons
Quote: I no longer question authority, I annoy it. Less effort, more effect!
About Yourself: Have been keeping aquariums off and on for 30yrs. Maybe I'll get it right one day.

COMMENTS

I like your hand made rock formations. In so many of these tanks they have generic, store bought, fake decorations! There are only so many shapes to choose from. When ever Im rating them I give a much lower score if they use them. And an even LOWER score when they use more than one of the SAME damn shape!LOL So I really like your tank! Very nice. fish avatar
