About Yourself:
Started with goldfish in a massive brandy glass before I switched to tropical when I got a 130L for a bargain price. Have since upgraded to this one.

Community tank - 1 Banded Leporinus, 1 Pakistani Loach, 3 Clown Loaches, 1 Gold Gourami, 1 Dwarf Blue Gourami, 1 Dwarf Coral Gourami. More to come one these guys are settled in!
Corals/Plants:
Plants are all fake, they are easier to maintain (obviously!) and they keep the tank cleaner.

Advice:
Research! Not only is it essential but it can be fun researching tanks and equipment, not to mention the fish as well!

My memory is like swiss cheese, full of holes.
About Yourself:
How I got into the hobby (in a nutshell): a fantail was on sale of 3 dollars, me buy for mommy, me buy small aquarium, mommy buys me big aquarium, me do research, me buy koi and plants.
Fish Kept:
I have kept several varieties of freshwater fish including: several koi, a fantail goldfish, a pearlscale goldfish, a ryukin, a red fancy guppy and five comets.
Corals/Plants:
I have kept a total of three different species of freshwater plants. I don't know what two of them are called since the sales lady only knew their french names. The only one which I have managed to identify is a dwarf anacharis (Egeria najas).
Tank Size:
65 gallons
Advice:
Quadruple-check actual volume of the aquarium. The salesman who sold my 260 Vicenza told me that it was a 90 gallon tank but it was actually a 65.5 gallon tank. Guess I was a bit too blond to figure out that the 260 stood for its capacity in litres.
Description:
3 Koi: one yamabuki ogon; one kohaku, too lazy to determine which variety; and a tancho kin kit utsuri but with a lot of black on it's back a white underbelly, most likely a mixed breed. I had to rearrange the live plants today to clean some of the decorations so the layout is rather poor. Most likely I'll have to rearrange it sometime once the live plants start growing bigger and I'll also need to properly attach the background.

Here fishy fishy fishy...
About Yourself:
I have been keeping freshwater tanks and fish since I was 5 years old. I love fish, it is an addiction. I currently have 3 main tanks: a 30 gallon tropical tank, a 20 gallon coldwater tank, and an 80 gallon tropical community tank.
Fish Kept:
Fish: 1.) 5 Australian Rainbowfish: 1 proved pair
2.) 1 koi swordtail male (NOT albino)- very nice
3.) 1 brick red swordtail who was originally a pregnant female who had fry and then actually changed its sex- swordtails can do this when they are still young!
4.) 1 high fin platy male, 3 red female platies
5.) 3 albino corydora catfish
6.) 1 veil marble angelfish, 1 regular marble angelfish - Maybe a pair
7.) 6 silver tip tetras
8.) 5 blue tetras
9.) 2 bolivian rams- might be a pair
I got lucky with pairs! All my fish get along great. I highly recommend the Bolivian rams, angelfish and Australian Rainbow fish. They are a joy to watch and have great personalities.
Corals/Plants:
All plastic.
Tank Size:
80 gallons
Advice:
Don't ever change the water 100% unless you spill soap or drop harmful substances in your tank or overdose on fish medication! Always do small water changes 20-25% a month or 10-20% a week depending on how many fish you have. In tap water, the chlorine is highly toxic to all aquatic animals so make sure you never change too much of the water with tap water because you will end up killing your fish.
