I am new to the hobby. I first purchased a 10 gallon fish tank and loved keeping fish so a few months later I upgraded to a larger 46 gallon bow front tank....My 10 gallon with all of the fish are in a new home and are doing great!

Advice:
Don't go stocking up ur tank all at once. It might be really tempting, but you run the risk of ur fish dying! Use real plants if possible, looks heaps better and are great for ur fish too!

Don't really have any advice, besides maybe listening to those who have been in the hobby for a long time.

I mainly used sand for the substrate though there is a small bit of decorative rocks off to the side. I also used fake plants, large rocks and some barrels.
