Rated #2482: 58 Gallons Freshwater Fish Tank

Rated #2482: 58 Gallons Freshwater Fish Tank - This is my first shot at a 50+ galon. After adding the water for the first time, the base of the tank cracked. I sent it back to the manufacturer to have it fixed. When it came back, it had a leak. So after all my trouble of getting it setup up, this is the outcome.

The tank is situated between my kitchen and the tv room. So I tried to have little deco in the center and have more on the sides so that my wife can still watch tv while doing the dishes.

Fish Kept: 3 red zebras, 1 melonochromis auratus, 1 demonsoni, 1 yellow lab, 1 idk
Corals/Plants: no
Tank Size: 40 gallons
Advice: 55 gallons is really the smallest size for mbuna as there was much agression and I did loose a fish so I wouldn't recommend this size to anyone interested in mbuna. 55-75 gallons is better.

About Yourself: Watching my fish is very relaxing. My 2 oscars are like little dogs. They come to the front of the tank every time I come to watch them. They know who I am and just about jump out of the tank when I come near. They would eat 10 times a day if I let them. I keep a very clean tank and my reward is happy healthy fish!
Fish Kept: 2 oscars, 1 tiger and 1albino, one 3" and one 4". 3 nice sized angels, 4 silver dollars, 1 rainbow shark, 1 pleco, and around 13 tiger barbs.
Corals/Plants: All fake
Tank Size: 90 gallons
Advice: Keeping a clean tank is of great importance. Don't overstock your tank. Also, in this case.... bigger is better. Get the biggest tank affordable, and what fits your home.

Corals/Plants: Fake plastic for now. Will add Amazon swords, moss and some low grasses eventually.

Quote: Music moves the world and we all move to our own beat !
About Yourself: I manage a Victorian antique store and am planning to go back into business for myself doing what I love and that is setting up and maintaining fish tanks. My love of keeping fish was instilled in me by my Mom who used to keep 3 tanks of different fish when I was just 3 years old. She stopped but as you can see I never have and never will.
Fish Kept: Lake Malawi A.S.A.P.
Corals/Plants: None
Tank Size: 50 gallons
Advice: I am just setting up this tank after an almost 7 year hiatus. I owned my own company for 3 years setting up and maintaining fish tanks.. The tank you see above was just set up an hour ago. Thats why it's cloudy. My only advice is stay on top of your water changes and take time each day to sit admire and observe. Not only is it enjoyable but it helps you become in tune with your tank and you will be on top of any problem that occurs.
