Advice:
Research your fish carefully before stocking your aquarium. Buy known sexes of fish and pair accordingly when stocking African cichlids. Don't stock with juvenile unsexed fish unless you are willing to part with some to male aggression.

I am currently in the Royal Australian Navy so my aquarium has to be self sufficient as my wife doesnt touch it. This could be up to 3 months at a time. Timers and self feeders do all the work. Vey easy to maintain

I started with a breeding pair of guppies and their offspring usually paid for their food. Since college opened my eyes, I have moved on from my tropical tretra/guppy tank to raising and breeding cichlids. My favorite cichlids being my goby cichlids Crystal and Red XII. They are so friendly and great me when I come home.
