About Yourself:I got into the hobby about 7 years ago.... my husband is the one that started it all.. our first tank together was a 180. I just loved it thru alot of trial and error I finally got it pretty well down... now I have two tanks going.. my baby tank is the tank that everyone comes home to so that I can keep a close eye on them... they stay there for a while til I know they are ok then they get to move to the "big tank" we call it where everyone has a little bit more room. oh and we can't forget bumble bee's tank.. he needs to be all by himself he doesnt like anyone else in there with him.......
Fish Kept:banded cat shark... annularis angel... majestic angel..... lion fish... blue face angel..... blue line angel..... then there is the golden puffer in his own tank obviously.... thats all I really have right now.. I have kept many others in the past with previous tanks that have been sold years ago..
Advice:take your time.. if you rush it you will fail.. make sure you read your compatibility charts... pretty doesn't mean nice to others... every fish has its own needs and if you cant provide them don't get it...
Description:My baby shark finally made it to the 500 gal. she is so pretty posing for the camera.....
About Yourself:I am 23 years old and live in Michigan. I never really did like fish, then I bought a tank with a blue crayfish and a tire track eel. Fromt here I fell in love eventually moving up to salt water. This leads me to where I am now.
Fish Kept:1. Clown, 1. Sixline, 1. Peppermint shrimp, 1. Red fire shrimo, 1. Trigger shrimp, 1. Purple lobster, 1. Green brittle star, 3. Blackfooted snails, 3 red legged hermits.
Advice:read alot and be patient. research all of your purchases before buying. find a fish store that you can trust. watch out for store clerks that will just try to sell you the most expensive and sometimes unnessasary equiptment. good luck and happy fish keeping.
About Yourself:i have 3 children-5, 3, & 1-& i want them to enjoy simple things, teach them to appreciate their belongings, and not be superficial. that sounds silly, but at this point they would rather look for the teeniny bugs in the sand of the aquarium that apparently crawled off the live rock in our dinky tank than watch tv. id like to keep their mind on something better than normal.
