Advice:
Regular waterchanges i do mine once a week (10gallons), read before you buy, plan ahead on what you want to keep in the tank and where the tank will go. Test your water regularly also to make sure that your levels in your tank are stable. The best test kits to buy are Salifert in my opinion. Like my quote says dont let small things get you down just keep at it and you will be happy with the end results.

This is a second hand tank handed down by one of my family friends when he could not manage it anymore.
Fish Kept:
Algae Blenny, Scooter Blenny, Fire fish, Sailfin tang , Cleaner Shrimp (Sophisticated french man), One cool arrow crab and a lot of lame hermit crabs.
Corals/Plants:
All sorts of cheap and expensive, soft and hard corals.
Tank Size:
110 gallons
Advice:
Pay attention to water parameters, do once a month water change using RO/DI water..

Always had a fresh water tank. My youngest son wanted to get "Nemo" so I decided to try a saltwater tank, failed misserably, then finally got it right.
Fish Kept:
Fish: Blue Hippo Tang, Fiji Foxface, Gold Striped Maroon Clown, Paired Pink Skunk Clownfish, Lawnmower Blenny, Pink Spot Goby, Copper band Butterfly, Leopard Wrasse.
Have kept: Blue jaw triggers, Volitan Lionfish, Purple Tangs, Scopas Tangs, almost every type of Clown Fish, Powder Blue Tang, Chalk Basslets, Mandarin Gobies.
Corals/Plants:
Coral: Pink xenias, large green bubble, large leather, torch corals, mushrooms, zoos/polyps, green brain, orange sponge.

75 gallons
Advice:
Beneficial bacteria, let nature happen on it's own as much as possible.

Trying to let the ecosystem develop as naturally as possible. Simplest of tank designs, 75 gallon tank with 2 hang on the back Aqueon 40 filters, 2 T-5 coralif combo lights, 2 Koralia #2 powerheads. This tank has been up and running for 1 1/2 years.
