Started my fish hobby about 6 years ago when I purchased a calico fantail goldfish, which I still have. Have had a cichlid tank in the past. I now have a 40 gallon cube tank with 5 huge fantail goldfish and 2 koi; my girlfriend's 10 gallon tropical tank with various tetras and platys, and of course my 46 gallon saltwater tank.
Fish Kept:
2 false percula clowns, 1 peppermint shrimp, 1 Sebae anemone, sevral brittle starfish, 1 turbo snail, 4 blue legged crabs, 3 bumble bee snails, 4 cleaner snails and other snails.
Corals/Plants:
About 35 lbs of live rock so far, 20 lbs of crushed coral, macro algea and a few very small soft corals
Tank Size:
46 gallons
Advice:
I am new to saltwater, but definitely be very patient, I learned the hard way.

Started 09/06 when I received a 90 gallon reef tank for my birthday. I'm hooked... that little puddle of water has taken over my life! Soon there will be a 120 gallon fowlr tank with puffer fishes! wooo hoooo!

Work full time and I find salt water fish tanks rather very expensive.

Advice:
Don't freak out when things start dying. Takes a while before establishing a well maintained habitat. Also water changes are the best thing you can do for your tank.
Description:
125 g tank. I use a 72" lighting itinics, with 3 metal halide lighting. I have a refusium in the bottom along with a protein skimmer and calcium liquid added daily. All lights are on a timer and on for 12 hours a day.
