Advice:Start Slow... Read, Research, and Research again! Find a reliable source. Try not to reley to much on fish stores because (most, not all) only care about making money and will sell you things you don't need and over price for saltwater tank equipment.
Ask lots of questions on this site.
Please take your time! I have spent a lot of money on fish and half of them died because I did not let my tank cycle and mature properly (LACK OF KNOWLEDGE and PATIENCE.) Don't get discouraged and stay with it. This hobby can be very demanding; however, once you develop a system, it will get easier.
Description:My tank 6months later. This picture really doesn't do it much justice! PLEASE BELIEVE ME.... IT LOOKS A HELL OF A LOT BETTER IN PERSON!
About Yourself:when i was young i saw my 1st saltwater tank in a hospital waiting room, i begged my dad to get me one but back then they was way to expensive! So five years ago i went to the New Orleans Aquarium, and fell in love all over again, and thats when i got my first tank and the rest is history.
Corals/Plants:green carpet anemone, 2 small long tenacle anemones, frogspawn, colt coral, toadstool, yellow button polyps, kenya tree, star polyps, green leathers and still adding stuff little at a time!
Advice:just take your time, i learned this with my first tank, and read, read, read before you buy anything, and buy the biggiest tank that you can afford, and my tank has been up and running for 5 months!
