Read first, about any fish/plants you want to keep, and dont let your excitement/enthusiasm get you into trouble by either killing fish in a poorly cycled tank, or getting something you dont know how to care for.

125 Planted Tiger Barb Tank. Planted at both ends and along the back, 3 large pieces of driftwood, generic lighting and hoods, Eheim pro 3/Rena Fillstar X3 filters. Current occupents are 20 tiger barbs(juv), 4 Clown Loaches(juv) and one Electric Blue Lobster(Juv)

Advice:
Cycle your tank for a good two weeks before adding fish. I lost two out of three fish after one week thinking the fish would help cycle it. nope. Also I didn't know natural sea shells through off my chemical balance in the water too. I took them out the next day.

Retired Mom and Grandma. Love my tanks learn something new every day Can watch them for hours. Moved to Arkansas from Illinois. Love outdoors but can no longer do what I used too so I'm bringing it indoors to me. I have several Tanks...goldfish....blue crayfish...shrimp and bettas...community...working on a 46 bow front now keeps me busy while my husband works in the yard haha. Use to own a Pet Shop 40 years ago but so much has changed and I've been out of it so long I'm back to being a novice.

Buy what you can at garage sales , Market place sites and Ebay or Amazon. Spend you $ on substrate , filter media ( I use triple layer filter material from amazon and a finishing fine layer from Amazon in my filters with carbon in a cartridge don't buy pre made cartridges ) , and plants. Read about fish before you buy them.
