it's better then a poke in the eye
About Yourself:
I purchased my tank some 12 years ago as a means of providing light to find my way in to my home after work usually late and in the dark . I started with african cicklids and 2 jack dempsy's which were supposed to be jewell cichlids . I first recieved them at about 1 1/2 " long they lived 10 years reashing a length of over 1 ' after a period of silver dollars to fill the tank I started over with a planted tank and small schooling fish
Fish Kept:
harlequin rasboras ,white cloud minnows, sword tails, black neon tetras ,amano shrimp ,blueberry shrimp, angel fish , 1 flame gourami , 2 dwarf frogs and a bunch of little snails
will be adding some cardinal tetras after next water change
Corals/Plants:
cryptocarns , dwarf sag , mexican oat ?
i am not sure for $45 the local fish monger gave me a bucket full of plants most of which I was able to stuff into my tank
Tank Size:
74 gallons
Advice:
if in doubt do a water change 25 % once a week is better than 50 % once a month
Description:
this is a better picture of my tank prior to a much needed trimming 5 weeks after initial planting
