Aqua Therapy
About Yourself:
I've got my first 10 gallon fish tank when I was in 5th grade. And, i've been hooked ever since. I gave away my fish tanks but alway have gotten another one. My living space doesn't feel complete without one.
Fish Kept:
Two Pearl Gourami,Two Marbled Hatchet ,Four Black Tetra
Corals/Plants:
I have plastic plants and one amazon sword which looks very realistic. Also, I have one plastic root.
Tank Size:
29 gallons
Advice:
When starting a new aquarium, remember to do 50 percent water changes every week for the first 4-8 weeks (depending on tank size). This will get you safely through the nitrogen cycle without killing your fish. Only add a few hardy fish for the first 4-8 weeks then get your water tested then you can add your fish slowly. The key to a healthy fish tank is weekly water changes of 30 percent and monthly gravel cleaning with sifone and not overcrowding your tank. I have found that when keeping tropical fish it is best to keep the temperature at 82 degrees. This helps prevent the fish from getting ick. Also, add freshwater aquarium salt and provide plenty of aeration. My marbel angle fish out grew my 29 G so they went back to the pet store where i got them. the guy said angels perfer about a 55G tank.So keep this in mind when buying an anglefish, they also become very aggresive when they git biger but after all they are Cichlids.

Fish won't get big overnight
Fish Kept:
15 redeye tetras
27 neon tetras
8 angle fish
4 bottom feeders(sharks)
If you have a big tank you should get fish that school.
Corals/Plants:
Silk plants, they look real and keep your fish tank cleaner. Black gravel, real drift wood form Lake Michigan(boil your wood before you put it in your tank) it cheaper than buying fake. Real rocks fish like to hide....
Tank Size:
125 gallons
Advice:
Keep your tank away from windows, try to keep the lights off most of the time and your tank will stay cleaner. When you buy a fish tank don' t be in a rush to buy fish rite away, give it time to cycle. Test your water or have the fish store test it before you buy fish. That could save you alot of money.......

About Yourself:
Been running tanks since I was 18 and still going strong. I have run Saltwater, freshwater community tanks, and even reef tanks. My favorite is freshwater game fish because I live right off a lake so walk across the street and jump on my boat and fish!! They are such beautiful fish in my eye! Years ago I raised a Tiger Muskie from 2-3 inches to about 18" and was then placed into the Bass Pro Shops tank and lived happily there.
Fish Kept:
Right now the tank has the following:
2 Largemouth Bass
1 Channel catfish
2 Bullhead catfish
2 Bluegill
1 Pumpkinseed
1 Crappie
1 Crayfish
1 Perch
Corals/Plants:
No live plants but have Rocks from my lake in the tank and 2 huge logs for hiding and cover. Also, have drift wood inside the tank.
Tank Size:
150 gallons
Advice:
Remember to properly cycle your tank in the beginning. I also like to do regular 10% water changes weekly. Also, before I put any items into my tank from outside I boil everything to kill off contaminants.
