About Yourself:
This is my first tank and it is only a few months old but I have learned a ton about the hobby so far. I got into it after I saw a friends tank and thought it was the coolest thing. I spend a good amount of time each week maintaining it. The onlly problem is that I jumped into the hobby pretty fast and didn't do enough research. I found myself with a setup that I didn't enjoy very much so I took time and figured out what I wanted. Now I absolutely love it. This is an addictive hobby that is very enjoyable and rewarding. I plan on diving into the world of saltwater in the future but am just taking my time to learn what I can now with freshwater.
Fish Kept:
1 Royal Blue Discus, 5 cardinal tetra, 4 bloodfin tetra, 2 cory cats, 2 hiffin pleco, 1 large pleco I recently aquired from a friend, 2 clown loach, 1 kuhli loach, 3 angels, 1 red tail shark, 2 blue gourami, 1 honey dwarf gourami, 2 silver hatchets
Corals/Plants:
A couple swords, anubia nana and a couple misc plants. I actually had a ton of plants in when I first started and then decided I wanted something a bit simpler. I took all plants out and added the beautiful malaysian driftwood with only a few plants put back in.
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
PATIENCE and RESEARCH. Take your time and do not rush it. Get a plan for what kind of tank you want to build up and research it until you cannot retain anymore information. A beautiful tank takes time to achieve and is going to give headaches at times but it is well worth it.
