About Yourself: Been in the hobby off and on over 35 years. Recently been breeding gold angelfish and these long finned albino bristlenose.
Fish Kept: Long finned albino bristlenose (2 males, 3 females and offspring). 3 Panda corydoras. 22 kuhlii loaches. 1 golden eel loach (hides in the gravel). Red cherry shrimps. North Australian chameleon shrimps. Numerous baby blonde guppiies (temporary only).
Corals/Plants: Low light plants: Crypts, Pink baby tears, Aponogeton, African water fern, Red tiger lotus, Anubias, Ludwigia repens, Java moss.
Tank Size: 60 gallons
Advice: Consider using rain water. No chemical treatment required and ideal for plants and fish suited to soft water. Our collected rainwater has a PH of 5.0, but fortunately this is being naturally buffered to 7.0 by the large pink rocks seen in the aqurium. Try to understock the aquarium. Some plants were planted in shallow plastic dishes containing organic fertiliser covered with sand and gravel.

Quote: Nine hundred years of time and space, and I've never been slapped by someone's mother.- The Ninth Doctor
Fish Kept: 2 Glo-Fish, 1 Fantail, 1 Sweetheart Parrot, 1 Pictus Catfish, 1 Plecostomus aka Algae Eater
Corals/Plants: All Fake... adds more color. For me the colorful the better.
Tank Size: 10 gallons
Advice: Although I am a "newbie" there is something I have learned along the weeks I have had my new tank. Don't mix tropical with community fish. They don't mix!!! I bought a redcap and he was very aggressive toward my other fish. I gave him to my local fish store for credit. Although I do have a parrot fish he seems friendly toward to the other fish.

About Yourself: people always want to know why i love goldfish so much when they are the dirtiest and the most incompatible, etc. but no matter what they always make me smile when i want to cry.
Fish Kept: Goldfish (fancy and common), a butterfly koi (they are usually incompatible with fancy goldfish, but has not caused problems yet), a weather or dojo loach, and a medium plecostomus (i am aware that they are usually incompatible with goldfish, but i have never had problems with it.)
Corals/Plants: my tropical fish tank has some plants i got from my sister, i dont know exactly what they are. the tropical tank is because of an angry sengel bichir that didn't get along with any other fish i had at the time (although i had kept one peacfully before), he now lives happily with two bolivian rams, a rainbow shark, a large chinese algae eater, and a lot of trapdoor snails.
Tank Size: 30 gallons
Advice: research before you buy, and make sure of compatibility, possibly with people that have tried it before

About Yourself: I'm only a beginner and have only been into fish for the past year or so. I originally started out with a small 21 litre orange "funky" tank, then I managed to comendire my dads fish, as he was keeping it in dreadful conditions.. and by this time my ish had grown a bit, so I thought I needed a bigger tank to allow for five goldfish to survive happily, because they were looking a little cramped. I then got a bigger tank, and fell in love with the little fat cute pearl scale fish they had on sale there as well, so I got two of those aswell *slaps wrist, bad me* and I got a few more snails aswell, hoping they don't breed too much. I always wanted a big tank, because when my dad gave a damn, he kept a big wall span tropical tank, which I used to love and watch for hours when I was younger, so I thought heh, why not? :) I can't wait to get my next tank for when i move out of my mums house. I'm unfortunatly leaving my coldwater tank behind because my mum likes it too much *rolls eyes* but that also means I can now start keeping tropical fishes and am really looking forward to it, as I'm gettin great advice from the staff at my local aquatic shop! :)
Fish Kept: I'm not sure of the exact names of each, but a standard Goldfish thats gradually turning white (Named Bruce), a Shubunkin (Named Sheila), a yellowy goldfish (Named Flapjack), a white fish, with a bright red slat on its head (Named Tidgey), a beautiful black goldfish (Named Side-board) and two Pearl Scales called Marble and CheesePuff. (Don't ask about the names, by fiance and brother named them all) I also have six Golden Apple snails, three black, and three regular (Two have names - Brian and Grubby)
Corals/Plants: I only have fake plants :( and no coral.
Tank Size: 25 gallons
Advice: Not really as I'm new myself.. sorry :(
