This is my 2nd tank here in the US. Started with a 20 gallon and have now progressed to a 55 gallon

6 Platies, 2 cory cats, 2 german gold rams, 1 german blue ram, 3 von rio tetras, 3 fruity tetras, 1 yoyo loach, 1 plec, 1 skunk botia, 3 white clouds, 3 gold barbs, chinese butterly loach, 3 ghost catfish, 7 cardinal tetras, 1 dojo loach, 2 ranchovii killifish, 2 guentheri killifish & a red dwarf gourami!
Corals/Plants:
Amazon Sword, Melon Sword, Water Wisteria, Bleheri, Cambomba, Ludwigia Inclinata and a bunch of others I don't know the names of but look lovely!
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
read books, check the internet before you go ahead with anything. Aquariums aren't a hobby to be rushed!

research and have lots of spare change!
Make sure your tank has adequate flow. Adding a UV sterilzer is a must it will save you lots of money and make your water look pristine. Simple small 10% waterchanges weekly and clean filters when they get dirty.

My gold serevum is awesome!! His name is orange fish, he is about 5" and still growing. He even likes to be pet. I love this guy.

i'm a guy from malaysia basically started fish keeping since earlier 2007. how i started this hobby cause i think keeping fishes are quite relaxing when you watch them swim around, and another factor is that i've kept other pets like dogs, chipmunks, hamsters, birds, tortise, rabbits, so basically havent try fishes yet so this tank is my first tank. Been thru alot of trails and errors just to get it to the looks as it now, which is what i always wanted since i'd start this hobby . to have nice green real planted tank :) will move to bigger tank when i have enough money and space .. wish me luck

erm.. Tetras, ramson snails, Red Crytals Shrimp (C), Red Cherry Shrimps, Otos, there are some more, but dont know the names :P

did try out 6-7 types including bottom land plants (dont know what it's name is) sorry i dont really know the names but so far my tank only have moss and the big leaf plant as you can see :) to me is the easiest way to keep a small thank neat and tidy.

keep trying no matter how many "deaths" there were :P but do keep track on your spending budget

Tiger Oscar, Albino Oscar, Peacock bass, Jaguar cichlids, Archers, and other cichlids, not all in the same tank. We have a 55 gallon full of non-aggressive fish also. Guppies, Barbs, Red-nosed rummy.

Our Oscars and Jaguar pull up any plants and destroy them. Most of our tanks have rocks or other things that are too heavy for them to destroy.

Got into fish as a little kid with a 10 gallon and gradually increased to 20 then 55 and now 125. Im aiming to have several large tanks in the near future.

Have good filtration and 10 hours of good powerful lighting. dont forget to add plenty of live plants to help the natural cycle and add some oxygen. I like buying the plant bulb packs for around 5 bucks you get 4-8 bulbs. they usually work pretty good.
