The direction the tank takes, either peacock or mbuna remains to be seen but if i can get away with both providing the peacocks are larger then so be it. i also have 6 puntius denesoni and an albina red tail shark i could not bare to part with. puntius are good dither fish tho.

Advice:
Research Research Research and when you think you have figured out what you are going to do don't take advice from the good people at PetsMart go to a reputable local fish store. And don't buy fish from Petsmart, walmart or any other big box, they are hit or miss on their health.
Description:
My fish habitat. 55g. I wanted it to look more natural to a real environment and not overly designed. Although it wasn't meant to mimic any realistic environment. I wanted to try to expand the space for the fish and try to make it so there were many things to swim around and varied locations for them. I took wood from the ohio river for the vertical pieces and screwed them to thick plexi which is under the rocks and couple of different kind of plants. Its currently hads 2 golden gourmamis, 5 glass fish, cori catfish, red tail shark, bushy nose pleco, and a zebra danio (my first fish from two years ago!) Just today i set up CO2 for the tank. I'm excited cause i will be able to get some plants i have wanted to get so it may change quite a bit soon.

About Yourself:
We are a husband and wife team, both of us are nurses by trade. Fish keeping is one of our creative outlets. We have two children that are growing into school age, so this is also helpful for them. Husband has been keeping fish for 30 years.
Fish Kept:
Koi Angel, Black Angel, Neon Tetra
Corals/Plants:
1 anubias nangi. 1 chain sword narrow leaf
Tank Size:
10 gallons
Advice:
Over-engineer or be a minimalist all you want. Don't let anyone tell you how to set-up or make your tank. The only advice you need is from your fish--how are they doing? All they want is consistent water quality and food. My preference of course is to make the setting as close to natural looking as possible.

About Yourself:
I have been into aquariums since I was 10 years old. Started out very small with a 10 gallon aquarium with common live bearers such as guppies, swordtails, mollies, plateys, and others. As I got older I wanted bigger and better stuff. For the last 8 years I have been into African Cichlids. They are my favorite. In the future Im still looking to expand and upgrade my aquarium.
I also enjoy comic books, educational tv shows, and being a proud member of PETA.
