Patience is a virtue!
Fish Kept:
Currently I have two keyhole cichlids, two bolivian rams, two swordtails (red), 5 spotted corys, a BN pleco, an angel fish, a bamboo shrimp, three ghost shrimp, and a paradise fish.
Corals/Plants:
Two java ferns, a marimo moss ball, two amazon swords, anubias, two bronze wendths, and various other swords.
Tank Size:
40 gallons
Advice:
To have a successful aquarium you have to be very patient. Make sure you read up on the nitrogen cycle and let your tank cycle! While your tank is cycling (will be about a month) read up on the fish you plan on getting and the specific plans you have for your fish tank. Make sure you are not overstocking, your fish get along, feeding the right amount, etc.

About Yourself:
I am actually just 12 years old and i enjoy fish keeping as a hobby.
Fish Kept:
2 Oscar fish(a tiger and a common), 1 Piranha and 1 Opalescent Gourami.
Corals/Plants:
All corals and sea shells are dead but they look really good all together in a fresh water aquirium and the plant is fake.
Tank Size:
45 gallons
Advice:
Just keep the tank clean and make sure all the equipments are working and buy hardy fish not gold fish! You need a lot more experience to keep goldfish. There are many hardy fish that look great too like oscars and other cichlids.
Description:
My tank is about 36x23x14 and I use two filters for maximum cleanliness and fish health and the heater is actually behind the plant and i only use it in the winter.I use good cichlid pellets to feed my oscars and even the piranha likes it.

Fish Kept:
Mix of African Malawi and South American Cichlids. varing in size and color.
I have had All of my fish for years and I only introduce 1 or 2 at a time. I Always keep my fish well fed prior to introduction of any new habitants.
Corals/Plants:
Red Lava / Slate pleces Oh and a 8" round stone that was bought at a drugstore as a waterfall (meant for piece and tranquility) All of this strategically placed in the tank for symetry and balance of jagged earth rock aand smooth surfaces.
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
Start Slow, Treat your tank like it is a ongoing project....A friend once said buy the biggest tank you can afford "empty" and take as long as you need to make it right in other words treat it like it was your very first home....ie; Take your time and youll end up with a beautiful piece of art.
