About Yourself:I was a bored 72 year old newbie and am now a frazzled 72 year old but still a newbie. in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
I bought a package deal including the 36 x 13 x 18 , a sump, a stand, and bits and pieces in January
And added the 36 x 18 x 16 and then added the 48 by 18 x 24 with a Light glo cover and a couple of T5's added.for more light.
Advice:REGULAR WATER CHANGES AND TESTING!!! Vacuum your substrate and change your filters regularly. Ensure proper oxygenation. Research research research before you buy, then research once more and take notes. Buy quality equipment and maintain it properly. Expensive does NOT equal quality, more research! Make sure you can afford to care for your fish properly before you commit. Did I mention clean water?

Fish Kept:This is my biggest tank. I have 6 mature goldfish, 1 pleco, 1 glofish, 1 standard opaline gourami, one male long ear sunfish, 1 bamboo shrimp, 12 filter feeding crayfish and 2 twin male paradise fish.
Corals/Plants:I have incorporated 6 plants into my tank. I have 7 spiked stones and 2 natural pine knots. The substrate that is in my tank includes small river rock pebbles and crushed and whole snail shells.
Advice:Test your water and do 25% water changes every week...& I mean every week! Buy a Python water changing system, it is a must have item and makes water changes no problem at all...No more buckets!!
