Description:
This tank houses a nice group of fish ......This is a work still in progress..Starting of with a custom built 40 gallon tank with a custom glass divider in the center. This tank was originally made to have an aquarium on one side and a terrarium on the other, but in this set up it works wonders to keep my Peacocks away for my nippy zebras, sahara sand for substrate, river rock, and asst. anubias ,java moss, lace java fern, and watersprite. For lighting I used coralife 20,000k super daylight bulbs in the rear of the tank where the rock is closest to the surface of the water and coralife actinic blue in the front as well as a set of lunar leds all set to timers simulating Dawn , Day , Dusk , and Night. , A set of powerhead 301's to create a bit of current all come together to create a truly real deep river experience It's worked out well and hope to have some breeding in the future..I have extra tanks ready to go if any one of my inhabitants start causing trouble in these limited confines. So far peace has prevailed..And my fish love there new home and I am sure I did not need a lunar cycle to this tank ,But it sure is great to watch my Neolamprologus , and Synodontis bask in the moon glow.I will be updating weekly as I add a few more plants to complete the background.. And also to update with clearer pics. The pictures do not do the lighting justice
