i AM that new hobbyist :)
UPDATE... still learning...my advice to new hobbyists is...use the forum . theres lots of people who want to help and some good advice to be had. ask questions . ( thanx to my new forum friend )

blue gourami, pearl gourami, 3 black harlequins, guppies, neons, clown loach, bristle nose plec, 2 bolivian rams,1 zebra fish

i got absolutely hooked on tropical fish after buying my first fishtank only a few months ago...so im an absolute beginner, making lots of mistakes but hopefully learning a bit from them.
