Description: Hi all. This is my first salwater tank. I left the freshwater side after 10 years and started this new adventure. I have a 30 gallon sump with a Octopus 200 protein skimmer, Ocean Runner 2500 return pump. 1 500 watt heater, 2 maxi jet 900s with upgrade kit. For lighting I use a .Coralife Lunar Aqualight Deluxe Series-48" (4X65W) with 4- 3/4W Blue-Moon-Glow LED Lamps. I also have 70 pounds of live rock. Rock had been curing for about 2 months. Also RO/DI filter for water. Now im working on the kalk dripper. Hand built the canopy from a old piano, and refurbished the stand from my old freshwater tank.
Advice: Learn, learn, learn. This hobby is expensive and takes lots of time. Also find a good fish store. I dragged my family to every fish store within 2 hours of my home. That took 1 month alone. Theres alot out there and there all different. Find someone you trust.
Fish Kept: 2 ROA true percula clown, 1 diamond goby, 1 spiney urchin, 60 snails,1 fox face rabbit fish, 1 flame angel, 1 cromis, 1 kole tang, 1 linkis starfish,
Corals/Plants: 1 red anenome, frog spawn, blue mushrooms, red mushrooms, tube worm, star polips, long tenical leatherbrain, green mushrooms, dendro, zooanthids, and ared plating coral.
Tank Size: 90 gallons
About Yourself: I started 10 years ago with freshwater. And this was the next step. Everone said (its to hard or takes alot of time). It does and I enjoy every minute of it.
