More Info

Country: Australia
Description: aqua one ar980. 3.5 ft* 150 watt MH, 2 * t5 actinics, 2 moonlights. no brand marine sources external protein skimmer ms 150:6540 l. sump with return pump, bag of phosguard in sump. no other media used. live rock in main tank.
Advice: I started out with an aqua one marisys complete filter but outgrew this too quickly to justify spending the money on it. skimmer was a filter stone model (not good enough). setup a new system which was half the price and is heaps more effective at removing waste. overflow water goes directly to external skimmer (venturi) which then overflows into a plastic kitchen garbage bin (sump,)with a bag of seachem phosguard and the return pump. thats it. good thing about phosguard is it can be reused until it turns yellow, its just an extra safe guard agaisnt phosphate. mine lasts for over six months
Fish Kept: black clowns, yellow tang, blue tang, flame angel, royal dottyback, flame tail gobys, sand goby, sleeper goby's,yellow fang tail goby, rock goby, mandarin goby, circle or target goby, coral goby's, six line wrasse, algae blenny, anthia, coral banded shrimp.
Corals/Plants: acropora's, goniopora, elegance corals, ancora, bubbles, zooanthoids, blastos, duncans, leathers, pipe organs, trachys, torches, mushrooms, pincushion plates, etc,etc
Tank Size: 55 gallons
