Description: This is my first attempt at keeping cichlids. Has a black background, all-glass aquarium heater, Penguin bio-wheel 350, medium sand substance, and 3 tree root decor. I took this photo back in December I now have 2 penguin bio-wheel 350's running and a powerhead with PVC tubing to keep the bottom clean and I am planning on making it an all lava rock tank.
Advice: Have lots of patience and research the type of fish you'd like to have. Buy the largest tank you can afford. The bigger the tank the easier it is to keep it clean. Don't ask Walmart or Petsmart for advice they don't know ssh** lol.
Fish Kept: In this photo which was taken in december I just had 2 electric yellows and a cobalt which were about half an inch big. I now have about 12 cichlids in there that have now grown to about a inch and half. I will post new pics soon.
Corals/Plants: one bamboo and a piece of driftwood with a plant attached.
Tank Size: 55 gallons
About Yourself: I've had fish since I was 12 I am now 22. I am a Medical Assistant and a Student.
