More Info

State: Florida
Country: United States
Description: 30 gallon
Advice: --Start off by slowly introducing only 3 fish at a time... you will probably lose some fish as the tank is cycling, but within a couple of weeks it will balance itself out. --Regular water changes are a must! --Choose hardy fish; guppies are not the strongest swimmers, and contrary to popular lore, are not the hardiest species.
Fish Kept: 3 albino corydoras, 2 stermia corydoras, 3 sunset wag platies (and a 2 week old baby!), 3 glo fish (zebra danios), 1 rubber-lipped pleco (2 inches) 1 betta splenden (siamese fighting fish)
Corals/Plants: Artificial only
Tank Size: 30 gallons
About Yourself: I am very new to this hobby (three months in!) and have become addicted! I lost three guppies and a stermia corydora when my tank was cycling, but it cycled in about two and a half weeks and my nitrite levels finally went down and haven't lost another fish. I bought my tank, with hood and light, stand, two filters, and several filter accessories for $50 on Craigslist, have put in another $300 of decorations/accessories, and can't wait to get another tank set up! (Would like a semi-aggressive tank of clown loaches and a black ghost knife!)
