Advice:
Expect to lose a few tank set-ups before you get a quality set-up.
Lots of filtration...makes cleaning the tank much easier

current tank fish, african cichlids, green sunfish/bluegill, bullheads, crappie, bass, mollies, plattie, pufferfish, gobies, mono, would like to try saltwater at some point...
