Description: My fish love to hide inside the hollow log. They come out to feed, and then disappear into the hiding spots. 45 gal rectangle tank. custom made top/lid and lights. (4 20w halogen spot lights, with, of course, UV filters) Tetra whisper 60 filter. Just your average white rocks, and some additional rocks/formations and some fake plants. I found a cool rock that's not in the picture yet that has fossilized indents of leaves-- really cool. This is my first tank ever. My brother is hooked, so he bought me this tank for my birthday, and it ended up at my office. Not only is it great decoration, but I can stare at it forever when I turn the lights out. I've been studying tanks here, and I just love the colors of the cichlids and the spots on the puffers. I hope to watch mine grow, and slowly build up a beautiful tank. NOW I NEED ONE FOR HOME!
Advice: Research, and make sure you know what you want before you even put water into the tank
Fish Kept: African Cichlids: Albino, Labidochromis caeruleus, a convict, yellow labido, 2 dwarf puffers that crack me up
Corals/Plants: fake stuff
Tank Size: 45 gallons
Quote: none that I can think of
About Yourself: Just turned 23 (august 2007). I have a small printing business which I run with a partner in San Diego, CA. This is where I keep my fish tank. Sometimes it's stressful at work, but the fish keep me calm. I love to be creative, and a fish tank really gives you the opportunity to do that. Someday I hope to build my own custom tank.
