27 gallons freshwater fish tank (mostly fish and non-living decorations) - Many of you saw the previous incarnation of this tank several weeks back. Well this is take two, which incorporates many of the subtle improvements I was planning to implement. The tank is designed simply to be a colorful centrepiece to my living room. As such it is not replicating any particular habitat. I Just want it to pop!

Description: , Ive changed my background plants to a more uniform arrangement with similar types of plant, and have added two new plants in the foreground. Topped off with the addition of a black background., Tank specification otherwise remains the same including a Fluval U4 filter and Fluval E200w electric heater. Cleaning regime is weekly 25% water change with bi-weekly 50% gravel vac., , Fish also remain the same - 7 White Tipped Bentos Tetra, 5 Amano Shrimps, 3 Peppered Cory and 1 Dwarf Guarami. Looking to add new species of small showling fish but have not decided on what this will be. Open to suggestions., , Very pleased with this setup now.,
Advice: Dont rush the tank setup. Always upgrade the filter. Invest in decent silk plants if you are going down this root. The more expensive plants look much more realistic.
Fish Kept: Current tank contents: 5x Amino Shrimp 3 x Peppered Cory 7 x White Fin Bentos Tetra 1x Drawf Guarami.
Corals/Plants: All plastic/silk (fake)
Tank Size: 27 gallons
About Yourself: Have been keeping tropical and coldwater tanks since my teens. Moved to fake plants several years ago and never looked back. Though I think planted tanks look great I am happy with plastic/silk. Likewise, Love marine tanks but quite happy with tropical in my own home. Happy with a 130l setup - nice balance between size, maintenance and cost of upkeep.
