Description:
Well it didn't take one try, it took a million tries, and a million fish, plants and arrangements later I was left with this.
Advice:
Dive in!
Fish Kept:
Planted tank with 5 angels, 15 harlequin rasboras, 8 of several other types of tetras, lots of swords, scarlets, driftwood and rocks, all obtained cheaply from ebay and local rock stores.
Corals/Plants:
No Corals, but the plants are cheap on ebay and lots of care can turn into little care with one water change a week. The best way to fight algea is to have lots of plants. If you have gravel use plant tabs, and the most important think when it comes to plants is lights. Lights can be purchased on ebay for $60 for a 48" long tank.
Tank Size:
65 gallons

Lighting is far more than a simple aesthetic fixture that brightens your living room; it serves as the foundational life-support engine for your entire aquatic ecosystem, influencing everything from the biological circadian rhythms of your fish to the photosynthetic success of live aquatic plants and the management of unwanted algae blooms.
Few experiences in the aquarium hobby are as heart-stopping as looking into your tank during feeding time, counting fins, and realizing one of your favorite fish is missing, only to discover it squeezed into a perilous gap behind the filter or wedge-pinned behind a heavy resin castle.
