Description: set up on 03/06/07 SUBSTRATE:fluorite, onyx gravel, onyx sand. FERTILIZATION: 2 X 2L DIY (sugar, gelatine water mix reacting with yeast), Flourish Excel 1 mL/day , 3 ml/wk Flourish Complete LIGHTING: DIY hood, 2 55/65W 10000K compacts, 196W capacity 30% water change once a week
Advice: be patient and flexible (in all things),
Fish Kept: 11 Cardinal tetras (Paracheirodon axelrodi), 2 Chinese Algae eaters (Gyrinocheilus aymonieri) 1 Siamese Flying Fox (Crossocheilus siamensis) 1 Flagfish (Jordanella floridae), various pond snails
Corals/Plants: Alternanthera reinecki, Heteranthera zosterfolia, Rotala indica, Cryptocoryne wendtii, Glossostigma elatinoides, Echinodorus amazonicus, Cabomba carolinia

Mike, thanks for the comment. On average, it is not all that time consuming (5-10 min. a day). But there are times you have to pay a lot of attention to it (usually in the first 3 months) and others where it seems to run great on autopilot (once established). Good luck! fish avatar
