More Info

Country: Canada
Description: 90 gallon bowfront, 47"x24"x14", 2 power-glo floresent lighting tubes, fluval 404 canister filter, Boyu s-2000 dual air pump, lace rock, 3 20 lb. bags of white/black african chiclid mix gravel
Advice: Try not to buy entire put together kits when buying an aquarium as the componets are generally poor quality. Buy your tank separtely and upgrade in better equipment. When going with african cichlids purchase your peacock cichlids, cats & algae eaters first and later after a couple months add your more aggresive mbuna. The mbuna may not attack the established fish in your tank but they will be very aggressive or kill new fish. Learned the hard way.
Fish Kept: 25 male only african cichlids (mbunas & peacocks), 1 convict (south american), 2 catfish, 2 clown loach.
Corals/Plants: All Live; Anubius, sword, java fern and one other?
Tank Size: 90 gallons
Quote: Keeping it all natural.
About Yourself: I work shift work at a refinery. The fish are relaxing to watch and enjoy after the work day is done.

Hi again, forgot to tell you about my onion plants. I dont know the scientific name for them i was advised to get them by my aquarium supplier. The fish are not interested in them and they look great in the aquarium especially when they reach the top and flow in the current. fish avatar
Hi jesterspub. Thanks for the feedback your tanks are very nice too. For the bubbles i have just got a standard air pump and a bubble wall tube. Type air curtain / bubble wall on ebay and you can see what it looks like lol Hope that helps. fish avatar
Anyone has good results with certain types of plants in their african cichlid tank? I am looking for more options. I know that anubius and java ferm are ok. Please let me know! fish avatar
