Description: new malawi tank setup. rocks are from a local garden centre and are round slate like rocks...very good effect and good for building. gravel is decorative gravel from same garden centre...chunkier and different maybe than malawi should have but a sacrifice taken for look of the tank and no annoying digging to worry about...yet! 70 gal uk with eheim filter setup and yes a ugf which was for rock support but if its there why not run it as well.
Advice: take inspiration from others tanks and fish and be patient!!
Fish Kept: 5 Peacocks (3-4 inches)from a mainstream retailer which i am still identifying, surprisingly lovely fish. 5 mbuna(1-2 inches), 3 red zebra and 2 blue zebra. The direction the tank takes, either peacock or mbuna remains to be seen but if i can get away with both providing the peacocks are larger then so be it. i also have 6 puntius denesoni and an albina red tail shark i could not bare to part with. puntius are good dither fish tho.
Corals/Plants: amazon sword and vallesneria
Tank Size: 70 gallons
