More Info

State: Pennsylvania
Country: United States
Description: 30.25" x 12.5" x 18.75" 29 Gallon Malawi Mbuna Tank. CoralLife Reefsun Flourescent fixture. Cascade 700 Canister Filter; Running 185 gph. Penn-Plax Silent 3 Air Pump. 100 lbs of River Rock from Chester Creek in Southeastern Pennsylvania. 25 lbs of PlaySand.
Advice: RINSE your PlaySand Thoroughly...and DON'T use pre-packaged kitchen sponges on the inside of your tank...because whatever chemical they use to keep the sponges moist inside the package is HIGHLY TOXIC to FISH. I found out the hardest way possible...wiping out 80% of my Malawians..some older than 2 years. So stay away from sponges altogether, just use a paper towel folded over a few times.
Fish Kept: Adolescents: 1 Pseudotropheus Crabro, 1 Pseudotropheus Elongatus, 1 Cynotilapia Afra, 1 Labeotropheus Fuelleborni, 1 OB Fuelleborni Juveniles: 1 Melanochomis Auratus 1 Labidochromis caeruleus
Corals/Plants: None, just 2 really lazy, boring snails
Tank Size: 29 gallons

COMMENTS

You have beautiful fish and a great looking tank. This guy fishluva or whatever his or her name is definately has something wrong upstairs. The backlash of comments I read on fishluva's site are right on about his rude remarks to you and my wife and I got a huge laugh out of some of the retaliation comments. However, that person deserves this kind of backlash. There's no room here for ridiculous remarks like that. I do apologise for him or her. I can just imagine how it made you feel and I do believe everyone in this forum admires your tank and you personally for taking the time to display your aquarium. fish avatar
