Description: I am running a 53 gallon corner tank same as the juwel trigon 190 but deeper. Fillteration: Lots! of! live! rock!, Live sand, prizm pro delux protien skimmer, 2x fluval 304 external filters, one has little chunks of live rock in it the other has, polyfilter changed monthly, rowerphos changed every 2 months and a small amount of active carbon changed weekly. Flow: Maxijet 900 powerheads x2 1x unknown powerhead ?? Both intakes of external filters to the rear of tank outlets to front to create lots of flow through the rock. The skimmer outlet also provides a suprising amount of flow. Lighting: Arcadia 1x150 watt MH 20k, Interpet power compact twin starter with 2x 36 watt daylight blue tubes, 3x 18 watt actinic. Heating: 1x 300 watt jager Cooling: Simple. 1x 6" clip on fan pointing directly at outlet from skimmer, this works fantastic even on the hottest of summer days it cools the small amount of water flowing from the skimmer VERY quicky. Water: RO Man 50gpd 4 stage, Tropic marin pro reef salt.
Advice: Start as you meen to go on. If you eventualy want a large tank start with one it will only cost you more in the long run, i'm soon upgrading to a 5x2x2 this will be my 4th and last upgrade and would have been £400 cheeper if i had stated out with this tank and thats not to mention any equipment?!?!
Fish Kept: 1x indo firefish 1x juvenile dragon wrass 6x juvenile perc clowns, 1x neon goby 1x fireshrimp 6x cleaner shrimp 6x pepermint shrimp 20x ish turbo snails 15x red leg hemit crabs 4x blue leg hemit crabs.
Corals/Plants: zoas, yellow polyps, frogspawn, torch, goniopora, sand anemones, toadstool, leather fingers, pulse, xenia, mushrooms, acropora. montipora, trumpets, hamerhead, brain, + more
