Description: This is my first attempt at creating an DIY background. The tank currently houses 3 cichlids which will be removed when they get larger. Then the tank will serve as hospital or fry tank. This is the first large project that I have taken on with my 4 year old son. He had a blast mixing and painting on concrete, now he wants to make one for his room. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.
Advice: Have fun and Enjoy your fish.
Fish Kept: Yellow Labs Acei Sydontis Catfish
Corals/Plants: None
Tank Size: 20 gallons

Love the DIY background, i left a forum question about that. how is the water quality? fish avatar
The rocks are fake, I made them out of syrofoam and concrete. They are siliconed to the back of the tank. fish avatar
The venustus is no longer in the tank it was only in there for a brief period. fish avatar
how do you get the rocks stacked up like that? do you just buy them or find them? fish avatar
do you still have the venustus in there? If you do you will have to move him to a much larger tank as they grow to over 11 inches fish avatar
nice tank fish avatar
