Description: My reef tank is a 180 gallon corner pentagon which has 48" sides and just under 60" across the full face. Lighting is provided by 2 x 400 watt 14K metal halides run on a pfo ballast and 4 x 95 watt VHO bulbs, 2 x actinic blue and 2 x actinic white bulbs running on icecap 600 ballasts. I have a central overflow running to a 35 gallon sump with a precision marine bullet 2 skimmer and a precision marine calcium reactor. The return is a Iwaki 55rlt pump through a 1" sea swirl. For added water movement, I run a closed loop driven by a Dolphin Ampmaster 3000, and a Vortech MP40 pump. All cooled by a Prime 1/3 hp chiller (summer primarily).
Advice: Be careful when starting this hobby. It could change your life....
Fish Kept: Purple tang, 2 Bartletts anthias, 3 sunburst anthias, X-mas and leopard wrasses. Blue jaw trigger (male), flame angel, blonde naso tang.
Corals/Plants: 3 year mixed reef with wide variety of zoos, softies, montis, acros, ricordia, and large polyps corals. Starting to collect blastomussas
Tank Size: 180 gallons
