More Info

Country: Canada
Description: 65 G, 36x24x18. Lots of plants and wide variety of fish. I try to use only natural decoration rather than artificial ones. T5 lighting with Fluval 304 filter. I use polishing pads to make the water super clear. I also have UV lighting which also help improve water quality and water flow.
Advice: Borrow books from the library and read as much as you can. Pick your feature fish(could be your most expensive fish) and then pick other fishes that are compatiable with it. Don't start by buying the most expensive fish but rather fishes that are compatiable. You don't need to buy 2's of everything. Sometimes they don't get along with their own kind. Buy used equipments is a good way to save money and speed up setup them.
Fish Kept: 2 Discus(snakeskin), Gold Gourami, Koi Angel, 5 Red Rummynose Rasboras, 6 Cherry Barbs, red-tail shark, 2 Blue Tetras, Pleco, 2 platies,2 guppies, 7 cardinal tetras
Corals/Plants: Water sprite and amazon swords
Tank Size: 65 gallons
About Yourself: I had fishes off and on for many years both salt water and fresh. I started again for my daughters. They love going to the fish store and feeding fish.
