fish cruelty?lol. First off, your bowl does looke nice, and im glad you at least put an airstone in. a good rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon of water. looks to me like you have at least 3 in. of goldfish and then whatever in danio's. a single betta may be good for that bowl, but even then he/she would be happier in a bigger tank. the reason you can even put a betta in a cup (like they do in petco) without it dying is because they can actually take gulps of air and breathe oxygen from it. any how, im glad you are getting into the hobby it can be so enjoyable when done right. check the forusm here, they are loaded with info. feel free to check out my tank and ask any questions you may have! =) take care fish avatar
goldfish do not belong in bowls they need a tank of 30gal min.... fish avatar
never ask petshop staff they dont care about animals and just want a paycheck i used to work with them, petshop staff (except mom + pop type petstores) are usually just workers until they find a better job, they dont train them very well either (i worked at petsmart) fish avatar
Love the bowl you have it setup real nice. I think you can tell by the other guys post that the goldfish is going to outgrow the setup you have right now but just make sure to maintain it so it stay looking as good as it does now. fish avatar
Without sounding rude, this is fish cruelty!! Please, please get yourself a decent tank with filtration, an airstone with pump is virtually useless! The bowl is overcrowded (it would be even if it was just the goldfish) your goldfish alone will grow to 6-7". And don't, whatever you do ask most pet shop staff (unless it's a true aquarist) most of them are clueless. fish avatar
