Description: This is my 4ft '55 gallon' aquarium. The tank is a tad bigger then a standard 4ft size tank and holds 220 liters. Lets start off. The gravel in my tank is 3ml coffs gravel. I have some really nice driftwood, river rocks and rock formations in my tank along with a plastic bell. For filtration I am using a 'Aquanic' 1000 l/hr canister filter with 4 stage filtration and which I will give credit to a best mate of mine for getting it for me at wholesale price. I have an SPL 1200 power head with 700 l/hr flow rate just to keep the water in the tank flowing. I also have an aqua one 9500 air pump with 2 lines out into the tank for air-ration and visual looks. *Air pump has been upgraded since the picture, shown in the picture is the 7500 series* For lighting I just have a single 4ft tube fixture with a purple bulb.
Advice: Take your time and do lots of research. Be careful when getting information from your LFS...Read heaps and just surf the net in your free time and keep gaining information on the type of tank/fish/plants your keeping because it will always help
Fish Kept: At the moment I have. 3x Bala sharks 'silver sharks' 2x Clown loaches 3x Tiger barbs 1x Blue Rams 2x American Cichlids 3x Serpae Tetra's 3x Pakistani Loaches 'yo yo loaches'
Corals/Plants: Hair grass Green Temple Val Eloura and others...
Tank Size: 55 gallons
Quote: Too many XD
About Yourself: I'm a year 12 student and have been fish keeping for 3 years know. Its a passion of mine and its so damn addictive to create a beautiful tank with beautiful fish!
