More Info

Country: Canada
Description: 90 gallon square tank, 130 pounds of live rock, marineland lighting, 2 tunze wave makers, Eshopps protein skimmer, Eheim 3 filter.
Advice: The bigger the tank, the less issues. To each their own, but I recommend not starting out with a nano or very small tank. The possibility for spikes in levels and outbreaks that spread rapidly is too high. Also do a lot of research on livestock, which can go together and which cannot.
Fish Kept: 1 mandarin goby, 1 purple fire goby, 1 sailfin tang, 1 black brittle starfish, 1 red tile starfish, 1 banded coral shrimp.
Corals/Plants: 2 zoanthids, 2 brains, 1 torch anemone, 1 short tentacle plate coral, 1 aussie doughnut coral, 1 aussie meat coral.
Tank Size: 90 gallons

About Yourself: I started out with a 20 gallon tank that I got for Christmas. I jumped into saltwater head first. I had quite a few issues with this small tank such as, a red algae outbreak and fish & coral loss. I don't regret starting out with the small tank as I learned a lot. I got a 90 gallon square tank about a month and a half ago. I was able to salvage all of the live-rock, some snails, two gobies, and 3 corals. Since setting the new tank up, I have added 3 coral and one fish. Over time I hope to add a few more fish and lots more coral. I hope to have it looking like a true reef in a year. I have pictures of my old and new tank on my profile.
