You could probably get away with 1 jewel cichlid, but only one, to prevent terretorial breeding. The fish you picked sound really nice, Go with like 6 of each and a jewel, Are they red zebras, cobalt, red top, blue, albino or what? People say red zebras hybridize with labs all the time but I find this to be an exageration so don't worry about it if you have propper ratios.....

Jos,
What's the easiest way to tell the sexes apart when they're young. I know w/the electric yellow's, the males will have a more defined black area along their bottom fin. What about the red zebras and Acies. What's the easiest way to tell? Any help is appreciated.

Alright, ya’ll convinced me, cichlids is the way to go!!!!
